About this Costume

The fins were made of a couple layers of craft foam and painted. The side fins slipped over my ears and were attached with sock glue. The top fin is wired into my wig.
To save time from copious body-painting, I made a bodysuit top. It's made of a cotton lycra and dyed to get it as close to the bodypaint as possible. It's a little off but it looks almost unnoticeable under certain lights. I hand-painted the markings on the bodysuit myself, which was pretty difficult since I had to wear it while doing so! The bodysuit has velcro, where the armor attaches.
The armor was done with craft foam. I was on the tiniest timeframe so I had to settle with a few things that I could've improved on.
The dress is made of a blue silk dupoini with an organza overlay. I dyed most the organza in blue dye so that it would fade into the purple towards the bottom. I really like how it came out!!
Contacts were purchased from Pinkyparadise (Venus Red) and the wig was purchased from a random eBay seller.
I will definitely be revisiting this costume when it's not hot....curse you, Florida! - Personal Thoughts:
- ...GET ME OUT OF THIS COSTUME...
