Construction Details:

Altered the pattern for the bodice from one that was suggested to me by my friend Artemis Moon Cosplay. All of the gold strips are ribbon that I satin stitched down. Sleeve puffs are lightly interfaced, with elastic sewn in where they gather. The bodice has a canvas layer in the middle with spiral steel boning in it, and is fully lined. The skirt is 2 layers, an underlayer of mystique satin that I rushed using the elastic method, then an over layer of duchess satin. I patterned the scallops and freehand laid out the design on the skirt, pinning it down as I went and satin stitching all the ribbon like I did for the top. The overskirt has exactly 18 scallops, just like Beatrice's does. The bows are made out of sateen, and are interfaced so they stay stiff.

Styling Notes

Braided the ponytail and wrapped it around like a bun, pinning it down as I went. The front is lined with fishing line sinkers as well to balance the weight and bulk of the bun.
