About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Materials:
-Orange fabric, Yellow fabric, white fabric, red ribbon
Pattern:
-At first I had made the apron, close to my Kushina dress, I didn't see the problem at that time. So it was an easy sketch on the white fabric. I made it double to preven it from being see through. The skirt, was a challenge, the pattern I had made was suppose to be a circle skirt, until i was folding the fabric i realised that it wasnt going to work. So I had to cut them out sepreatly.>.> big mess but I came out ok. For the bandana, i bough a small quart size fabric and adjusted the side. I added a seam around the edge to make it nice ^^
Sewing:
-SO making the skirt work took me a whole day, thats where i started to realize the errors on the bottom. The top half was fine cause I added a thick elastic band around it. so after i finsihed sewing and trying to fix it, the petti coat, I had to cut one that I had up and fiz it. as soon as I put the skirt and petti coat on, then the apron on I knew I had to redo the apron.I had to measure and cut the apron to make it fit. That took about and hour.
Apron pattern:
-Hungary apron has a pattern at the bottom so looked a reference picture but it was had to make of the design so i had to make it on my own, then colored it in with fabric marker. This to i made a bow for the back, and used saftey pins to keep it in place. - Personal Thoughts:
- The skirt... was bad, its not even at the bottom. that was the only down side of this cosplay. just the skirt. I was alittle discourage to go out in public like that but i was able to hide the bad parts so it looked fine in the end
