About this Costume
Construction Details:
Shoes: Bought by my friend who told me to just make Stacia, they were actually thigh high boots with a slight stretch. I cried when I had to cut them to mid calf with a slight V angle to them and hand stitched the lining and front together. Fabric medium and acrylic were used for the heel backs.

Tights: Opaque tights I had assistance with painting on all the little diamonds down my hips to ankle. I really want to redo the diamonds as they were made with acrylic paint and fabric medium so they gather and it's ugly taking them off. BUT OH WELL DOWN THE ROAD.

Skirts: I was going to make them all 1 skirt but since each layer is 2 circle skirts + lining = 4 pieces per skirt, I just kept them separate. Crinoline was sandwiched between each layer of the circle skirts (another 2 pieces per skirt) to make it fluffy and stick up highers. I was originally going to use horsehair but it just wasn't going to give it the touch of the fluff I needed so I passed. In total, I cut out 12 pieces of circle skirt patterns for this. Each one has an invisible zipper and a waistband hand stitched down.

Top: I actually used a cardigan pattern for the basic idea and then just modified the heck out of it from scratch. There is a detachable zipper between the ruffles that hide it. I had to add darts on it as well since it was puckering oddly and not fitting to my body. The ruffles were a pain in the ass. I ended up having my hubby assist in pinning the fabric while I was hand stitching the waistbands. After he was done I box pleated the whole thing. I tried to see if I wanted two layers of the pleats but just ended up with sticking to the one. All hand stitched to the top and to the mandarin collar.

Bow: Actually really tight around my neck on accident. Made from a super soft and silky material I found at the bargin rack at Colorado Fabric with the rest of the materials I used for Stacia. The bow tails were 45"+ and the bow was interfaced and patterned like Sparkle Pipsi's bow tutorial. I added a little band to go around my neck. I did my best to hide it under the ruffles.

Head bow: Just a basic long rectangle with triangle ends that had wire placed inside it and stitched to a headband I bought. I need to add a stronger wire as boys keep flipping down.

Prop: was made by my wonderful friends last minute. I actually needed two scissor blades but the one I was still very happy with regardless. I don't think I had gotten many pictures of me with it, so down the road we shall see.

Wig I bought off an ebay store originally for a Psylocke cosplay that will probably never happen anymore.
Personal Thoughts:
Stacia was a very last minute costume I got done for AX because my other ones were really not going to way I wanted and bringing me down. My great friend convinced me to just make this and cheer up. So I did.
