About this Costume
Construction Details:
I thank a couple ladies for their amazing tutorials and tips that helped me construct this! Zan (who also provided the first brooch!, Sparkle Pipsi, Glay, NyuNyu, and Cupcake Cosplay - you all rock! The tiara is from Catzia! The resin-cast gem is by Shoujo Gems!

Sleeves were made following the pattern Zan provided, though instead of foam, I used batting. Before sewing the channels closed, I stuffed polyfil into them. The batting prevents the stretch fabric from getting all lumpy and warped.
Personal Thoughts:
Way personal thoughts ahead: The first time I dressed up as Sailor Uranus, I was in 6th grade and my grandma made the costume for me. She was amazing - everything but the leotard and gloves, she hand-stitched herself. A few years ago, I wore the costume again but this time, I ripped it up because it no longer fit me properly, and I went with a "battle-worn" Uranus. I felt bad ripping it up then, and ever since my grandma passed in 2012, I still feel awful. <br />
I did this new costume not only to commemorate Sailor Moon's 20th, but to also honor my grandma who taught me how to sew and without her teachings, I probably wouldn't be in this hobby or where I am now in life.

Wig Review
Great length, but be sure you get your hair all tight in a wig-cap! I actually had to get my haircut because it was too thick to stuff under the wig :/
