About this Costume

Dress is Crepe satin with a chiffon overlay. I didn't line it since I really wanted it to be flowy. I wear a slip under it instead. the arm holes are serged and stitched down by hand, along with the sleeves and cowl thing. The chiffon was really nice, since all my hand- stitches were hidden under it.
I used the Simplicity 1551 pattern as reference, but I altered it heavily. there are no princess seems, and I changed the sleeves. I don't like princess seem that much. I also did this so I could glue the 240 crystals on a little easier. (some are placed on the inside of the chiffon).
The crown and brooch are made from worbla and friendly plastic. For the crown, I made the base out or worbla, then made the tulips out of cabochon leaves, worbla, and tulip-shaped caps. for the brooch, I took a vintage brooch, covered it in friendly plastic for the "gem" and did all the metal detailing in strands of worbla. the gem is covered in nail polish to make it iridescent. - Personal Thoughts:
- I like Galadriel's outfit a lot in The Hobbit. I wear heels with this costume because I think height adds a lot to this costume.
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- added wefts in the back to fit my hair, then curled them with a steamer.
