Construction Details:

I sewed the uniform after creating my own pattern, and used a lot of seifuku tutorials to guide me! I used a heavier fabric as I felt senketsu would be made of a tougher material than basic cotton.

The eye itself took a while to decide how to do. I ended up using casa satin, as i wanted a shine, but nothing too overwhelming.

The armor pieces were made by a friend of mine who's amazing with craft foam, using both heat techniques and some EVA foam to shape them.

I sewed the belts and suspenders together, and then trimmed and styled a premade Ryuko wig.

The scissor blades were also done by my friend who made the armor, who is a talented propmaker.

Personal Thoughts:

This costume is my current pride and joy. I worked really hard to create this from scratch in every way possible and I learned so much on the way. Ryuko is dear to me so I'm so excited to finally cosplay her!
