About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Costume created from homemade patterns.
Gauntlet is wonderflex, craft foam, and silver spandex.
Boots were made by gluing craft foam to silver spandex, then either glued or velcroed to a pair of boots purchased from the thrift store.
Socks were purchased from SockDreams.com and altered to match ref.
Bardiche is made from craftfoam, wonderflex, resin blanks, an eye bolt/screw and 2 wooden dowels. The handle is convertible - it can be either small and handheld or a pole arm. - Personal Thoughts:
- A friend and I decided to cosplay as Fate and Nanoha for the SLC Pride parade. We both made the costumes in less than a month.
Wig Details
- Styling Notes
- Wig treated to a hot shower to relax the waves out for a more straight, and longer, style. It is styled into 2 pigtails that are not permanent, so it can be used for alternate styles for the character. Bangs were sectioned, cut, and fluffed using Got2B Glued hairspray.
- Wig Review
- This is the second wig I've done any styling on (the first I only added ears), so the pig tails aren't as smooth as I'd like and we didn't have time to double check the bang length, so they're a bit long. I will eventually re-do it for future use.
