Construction Details:

Materials used: Crepe-back satin (wrong side), sateen.
Notions/other: Mirrors, rhinestones, embroidery floss.
Techniques: Applique, machine embroidery, Indian mirror embroidery, wig wefting, giant braids.

It took me a year or so on and off to make because I took some time off from cosplay, but it's come together in a satisfactory way. I used a lot of techniques I've never used before, learned a lot, messed up a lot, but am ultimately very happy with it. The most challenging things were the wig and the mirror embroidery, but they ended up being fun once I got into the swing of it.

Personal Thoughts:

Very satisfying work for me! I'm so happy to have finished it and to be able to wear it sooner than I thought.

Styling Notes

Two wigs wefted together, then Arda weft hanks around batting cores, stitched into the wig and braided. I later removed the large hanks, added more loose wefts, and braided it into something much lighter and more practical.
