Construction Details:

Shirt and bolero were pretty straight-forward, followed/modified patterns. Used 'glitter tape' for the stripe on the middy collar, and glitter Casa satin for the tie. Made the tie from scratch by following a tutorial on Pinterest.

The skirt was where most of the struggle was! I ended up basically drafting my own pattern, and measuring out how long each yoke was going to be. It's fully lined and has an invisible zipper in the side seam. The pleats are all box pleats with the contrast blue satin for the inner parts, and are also lined in the blue satin. I used sparkly 'rainbow' metallic organza for the under-ruffle, and burned the scalloped edges with a soldering iron.

The suspenders are stretch sequin trim, and the gold dangly pieces on the bolero were ordered online. The hip bow is sparkle organza, and attaches with a pin-back.
