About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
For the top/tunic i used the torso part of my yukata pattern to eliminate any shoulder seams and was really happy with how well it worked out! Basic pants pattern used for the bottoms, arm and leg "wraps" are tubes sewn to my measurements with embroidery thread sewn along seams and yarn for the finger loops on the gloves. Quiver and shoes were made from burlap! Made a basic slipper pattern for the shoes and actually used my machine to sew them which was an adventure haha really love the realistic interpretation they display but not so much their durability! The holes were intentional i swear. Arrows are wooden rods with craft foam arrow heads and cut and shaped felt for the feathers. Hood was weird to figure out but came out pretty cool, the "eyes" are fabric over craft foam to give them dimension. Wig is an ebay purchase.
- Personal Thoughts:
- Ghibli is so important to meee!! Cant wait to wear this costume again, hopefully with a group!
