About this Costume
Construction Details:
This was my first time working with Worbla, and it was so easy! Honestly, you just have to think in 3d to pattern it out. I didn't need to make any sketches or doodles it isn't necessary! The Breastplate is probably the only area I wish I could improve - I feel like it might be too "saucer-shaped" on the edges, but for my first try I think it's pretty darn good. The cups were made from a bowl and added on. The rest of the worbla pieces were patterned out of craft foam and done in pieces. Any particular questions you can pm me. The rivets were scrap worbla, as was the long tube going around the spear. The spear was made from Worbla and a dowel rod. Again, it's so in depth, so any questions just pm me.
I'm all about shortcuts if you can achieve the same look in cosplay, so the dress was made of a hideous size 28 dress from salvation army and the parts cut off from it became the boot covers. The lighter purple color was skirt with the right color from goodwill and added.
Ran out of fabric for the pleating so my sister found a good match at the fabric store. Dress altering was all done by her since I was too busy with worlba.
The boot covers went over the same thigh-highs and garter that I had used for June from Star Gladiator in the past. The belts on the boot covers were just a belt I bought at savers and cut up to fit. I added buckles that I stole from my Nanael costume.
Belt itself was also stolen from Nanael; added craftfoam in pink and worbla for the buckle and heart-shaped edges.
Hair pieces were made of Worbla. Cut out a full shape of craft foam, then, the worbla, then cut the full shape into the small parts to use as "boning" inside the worbla. Smooshed the craftfoam around it.
Back of the costume was a sports bra that I cut the front off of, added gromits and lacing, and sewed onto the elastic holding my breastplace on once I was already in the costume.
Gloves were purchased in the color I needed. Once layer of worbla was cut into precision and then punched holes into with a belt hole puncher, then sewn onto the gloves.
Shoes were leather painted by me! I plan on making a tutorial for it in the future since it was so easy.
Personal Thoughts:
First time working with Worbla and it made me wonder why I ever worked with anything else (like fiberglass - ew!)

Wig Review
I had to de-tangle an old wig I used for lolita since oddly enough the color I ordered online was a bit too dark. I purchased the wig I used on the egl comm sales, and the seller didn't remember which Taobao store it was from...
