Construction Details:

Top:
The top is made of a combination of white cotton and navy and red pleather. The upper portion is all cotton. I did add the 2 collars she has as seen in the trailer for the game. I also managed to pause the game footage to get a good glimpse of the back to make it as accurate as possible. I made custom bias tape to encase the bra cups in the front. The top zips up in the front. The zipper is hidden beneath the corset.

Corset:
This is probably the most difficult part of the costume. After looking at the design and studying it I finally figured out the complex design. The corset itself is an underbust corset. It is fully boned and lined with cotton. The base fabric used is pleather. I quilted the front of the corset with craft batting and sewed the diamond pattern into it.
The strapping is where it gets over complicated. This thing has 2 shoulder straps AND a halter strap. After those were set in I added the choker, which snaps on from the back. I added the 2 straps from the O ring on the choker and to the halter strap. I then added the 2 small straps that sit across the bust cups from the halter strap down into the corset. The strap around the shoulder with the O rings in the front and the big O ring in the back is a harness and is separate from the corset. The corset laces up in the back. I also added a modesty panel in the back. The bottom of the corset is trimmed with white lace ruffles.

Skirt:
The easiest part of this costume was the skirt. It is made of black cotton and is 3 layers. It is 60 inches wide and gathered into a waist band that is elastic. The skirt has a built in petticoat with white crinoline to give it that extra volume and flounce. I trimmed the bottom of the skirt with white lace ruffles.

Tights & Gauntlets:
The tights and gauntlets are made of navy and red spandex. I custom dyed the red a deeper red. For the tights, I sewed the diamonds on from the pleather I used for the bra cups on the top. For the silver diamonds on the knee’s I glued silver/reflective vinyl on the tights in the shape of a diamond.
The tights are elastic waist.
The gauntlets were just a tube sewn up. I added navy and red ribbon lacing to each one. I added white lace trim to the cuff.

Boots:
The boots were bought at Ardene’s for relatively cheap. They’re quite comfy. Jay mixed up custom colors based on color swatches taken from the game art so it was as close to accurate as possible. He used a high quality acrylic paint.

The bat & the hat:
The baseball bat was the same one I used for the city version of Harley. It was painted to look more similar to Harley’s bat from the game.
The hat was purchased at a local theatrical shop. I added cardboard to the inside of the hat to keep its structure clean and crisp.

Personal Thoughts:

I have recreated every Harley outfit from the Arkham game series, so it was only obvious to make the new one from Arkham Knight. I was really drawn to this costume because of the modesty. They actually covered her up for once! I loved the cute little Lolita style skirt and the mix matched tights. I think it’s an understatement when I say I love Harley Quinn….but that’s pretty obvious at this point :P

I re-used my wig from Arkham Asylum/City only this time I sharpied the tips red and black. I have an additional wig to use for the Asylum one. The wig is a Chibi from Arda in Ash blonde.
