Construction Details:

Base leotard is made from a modified version of the famous Green Pepper pattern. The leotard top, skirt, and panties were made separately then sewn together. (vs solid leotard with skirt tacked on). Skirt and collar are cotton sateen, bows are casa satin. I made the broach and tiara out of Worbla. The boots are regular boots I bought and painted with blue leather paint, with white satin sewn onto the top v.

Personal Thoughts:

Mercury is my favorite scout, and 4 sailor scout costumes later, I finally made her! This one is specifically based on the anime version (note pleated skirt). So far I've only worn it to one convention, and I forgot my necklace at home!! So none of the pics below have the necklace, but I'm wearing it again to Momocon to fix that. :P

Styling Notes

I had to cut a lot of it to get the style, then I used curlers to fluff it up. After a while it straitened out though, I need to do a more permanent curl method next time.

Wig Review

I love Epic Cosplay wigs for their texture, but I couldn't give this one a 5 because it wasn't very heat resistant, despite the description saying so.
