Construction Details:

I created both costumes. The hoop skirts were modified from a design I'd used for a Saber costume several years ago (and as a way to recycle old boning). The gems and props were made with craft foam. The dresses themselves were custom patterned and cut from gabardine, which worked to reduce shine in photographs.

Personal Thoughts:

These two costumes were created for AnimeBoston, to be worn while we worked for ConnectiCon's booth. They were very popular, despite being a mostly last-minute idea.
