About this Costume
Construction Details:
The romper was designed and patterned out by me and is a stretch denim. I wanted to keep the classic 40's Bucky look but add a girl twist so I added the poofy shorts into the design. I also wanted to make the shoulders prominent since that's pretty standard in military uniforms so I opted to make those poofy too. Actually, scratch that, I really just am looking for excuses to incorporate poofy things into all of my costumes. =l

I wanted to keep the material thick because I was still going for that tactical military look so that's why I chose the stretch denim. It's nice and stiff for the poofy parts but also allows leeway when I move; so it's pretty comfortable. There's a hidden zipper and some hook and eyes under the center piece, which is how I get into it. The center piece is removable and is secured with 10 snaps, one under each button.

The gloves i used a pattern for since I hate gloves and don't want to draft that shit. They are twill and match the collar at the top of the romper.

I already had red tights (though I may get a slightly darker color in the future) and the boots were bought and painted a dark navy. The mask is Wonderflex which I cut and molded to my face. The belt buckle is also Wonderflex that I cut and painted and attached to the belt (which I have to get a new one of since that one was toooooooo big).
Personal Thoughts:
Bucky has been on my list for a long ass time but I kept putting it off. With the new movie I had too many emotions and just had to pump it out. No seriously, my body would not let me physically work on anything else. It was problematic.
