Construction Details:

Uh. white cotton stuff. It was expensive. Wish I could remember what it was called, but it's slightly stretchy but pleats LIKE A BOSS. Princess seamed dress. Skirt is just a pleated skirt sewn to the shirt-like top. Gold details are craft foam wrapped in gold spandex. Craftfoam eyes. I used two colors of tassle edge for the epaulets, because I couldn't decide, i kinda blended them together. One was too "old gold" and the other was too "SO YELLOW ITS ALMOST ORANGE" so I blended them together? idk. I used satin in a lot of places on this cosplay, looking back a year later I would.... not do that. Woopsee poopsee. Shoes are stripper boots with ribbon hand sewn on. These shoes actually gave me semi-permanent nerve damage to my toes. Forrizzle.

HINDSIGHT 1 YEAR LATER: The base of the dress turned out great. The only things I would change are... the details, I wouldn't use satin. I'd make the tie in between Junketsu's eye slightly larger. Also I might try doing patent vinyl boot covers instead of the stripper boots that gave me legit nerve damage. (I had been cosplaying for less than a year when I made this, I think for what it was at the time it turned out pretty great tbh).

Was originally never going to cosplay Satsuki but one of my favorite cosplay buddies said she was doing Ryuko and she didn't have a Satsuki soooo.....<br /><br />

Styling Notes

Had to cut in the bangs and... side bangs? wtf ever those are called. The bangs though THE BANGS. Glued in wefts to the side to make my face appear longer. #horseface

Wig Review

Decided to go with Raven instead of black. I used a Raven wig for my militarystuck Vriska cosplay, and the photographers loved the way it looked in pics, and so did I.
