Construction Details:

I went to half price books and bought some super cheap hardback novels (all 1$!). I took off the cover and painted the whole thing light blue for a base coat, then did a layer of purple. It's a bit hard to see (it still looks kinda black because the purple is so dark) but oh well!
I made stencils of the mark of grima and lines where for where the text would go. I painted those in and carefully stenciled in the text.
I actually made it say something!
It says:
"I am [the] wings of despair. I am the breath of ruin. I am the fell dragon, Grima"
I had to take out the first "the" because i miscounted the characters...
Anyway, after that tedious scare, I made fake book clasps with just 3d puff paint and gold acrylic.
That's all! I cannot wait to start on that ridiculous tactician coat...

Personal Thoughts:

Does this even count as a prop??
The best thing about this is that if I get bored at a con, I can just open this book and actually read it... Haha...
Defiling books is strange.
