About this Costume
Construction Details:
This. Costume.
I knew for sure after a lot of investigation that I wanted someone to make the suit for me, so I shopped for some quotes and eventually had it commissioned.
The original bites are actually part of this costume bandolier I found and painted the connected pieces with spray paint and nail polish (classy). For Fanime I sculpted, molded, and cast new bites to be more accurate as to what's seen on screen.
The emblem on the waist belt was made by TommyAutomail on Etsy and is attached to a piece of elastic. I need to figure out a way to make it look less crooked when I wear it though.
The utility belt was an altered piece of webbing attached to an AustriAlpin 35mm quick release belt buckle. "Pouches" also made by TommyAutomail. Holsters are from Amazon, they're not close to being correct but shelling out $40-80 for a more accurate style seemed a bit silly since I already had a pair of guns that I didn't think would fit in the more 'sculpted' style. Eventually I would like to get an accurate pair of her guns and holsters, but that's super low priority since my current ones fit a couple of necessities I need for the day in addition to my guns. Thigh straps were altered for Fanime to be made of elastic to keep them from falling down constantly, buckles replaced with AustriAlpin GT Cobra buckles, 1.5".
Boots purchased on eBay (West Blvd brand). I cut two silver zippers to the same length. Glued them to the front and cut a slit at the top and glued/stitched it in place. D-rings were bought and webbing was sewn to each of them before being stitched to the boots themselves.
Breaking down the costume piece by piece definitely helped making the construction of the costume easier.
