Construction Details:

I found the fabric in the Los Angeles fashion district when I was there with my family for Thanksgiving. For a second I didn't think they'd have enough (I was getting it for both my and my Diana's cloaks) but they had a whole giant roll in the back so it was all good. It's the perfect bluish not-quite-black color and drapes really nicely. My lovely Diana 3D printed our wands, belt buckles, and the symbols for our hats. The hat took me a little longer to make than I expected, but I'm pretty pleased with the result. Overall, Akko is super fun to cosplay as.

Personal Thoughts:

Akko is my homegirl. This was super fun to wear at Anime Boston 2014, because it was also my birthday. I got to hang with a lot of cool people, catch up with old friends, and meet some great new ones! And I felt like an uber dork because I was also a finalist in the AMV constest, and wouldn't you know it my entry was a Little Witch Academia AMV. I don't have some sort of obsession with a single 30 minute OVA or anything. Definitely not. It's not like I've already made two costumes from it. I totally didn't throw my money at my computer the minute the kickstarter was announced or something. What are you talking about? That would just be silly. (I'm not a very good liar.) I've fixed her up some since then and I wore her to the Enchanted Premiere parade at AX 2015 which was AMAZING!! And of course I already know which Akko outfit I'm gonna make next, heh.

Wig Review

the first wig was an arda le tigre long in mahogany, then an arda eowyn in dark brown, and now an epic cosplay nyx in dark brown
