Construction Details:

Nothing was really too complex here. All the fabric came from my stash. I only had to buy the wig, shoes, ribbon for the pants, and some of the tools.

Jacket was made with basic jacket pattern, with added flared cuffs. Buttons are glued on, and the jacket closes with velcro. I cut out the pants, then fused on the ribbon before sewing it. The pants have an elastic waistband at the top and at the bottom to give those their shape.

The tools were either purchased kids toys or made from craft foam and wire. I painted them as needed, then glued some of them to the belt with e-6000. The big buckle is made with wonderflex.

I purchased a pair of ugly furry boots that had a nice base under the fur. I cut that off, primed the boots with spray mod podge, then spray painted them yellow.

The goggles are $1 store sunglasses with these huge plastic plumbing pieces from Home Depot glued on, then I painted the whole thing. The tools coming out of my hair are attached to a headband with wire and glue.

Personal Thoughts:

I was planning this costume for months, and then two weeks before its debut at PAX East 2014, Riot went and totally redid Heimerdinger's default skin. Oh well.

I really wanted to do something totally different. I thought Heimerdinger was awesome the first time I saw him and League, and I thought this would be a fun costume to wear for PAX East.

Styling Notes

I cut off the bottom row of wefts of this to use for the eyebrows and mustache. Those pieces were glued to a matching felt strip, then attached to my skin with fashion tape.
