Construction Details:

The Bodice was patterned from scratch and made from Black bridal silk. It's completely boned and line with red silk and laces in the back to cinch my waist. The gold tops of the bodice are thick tie stiffeners wrapped in gold fabric then sewn to the top. It was pretty difficult to get them to curve just right! The gem has a brooch pin glue to the back so it can be easily removed from the front bow.

All the bows and ruffles were made from Red and gold taffeta, using interfacing and good ol' fashion iron :)

I was stupid and MADE the petticoat instead of just buying one. Such a massive undertaking. All that hoopskirt boning and tulle 0.o oi Under the skirt I have a pair of heels I painted gold.

I cast the Gems myself for all the jewelry, the necklace and circlet were made from gold sheet metal and painted sculpy. Ears were purchased from Ardanit. I even made fancy nails for this costume by gluing gems on acrylic nails with e6000!

Personal Thoughts:

I made my first pretty pretty princess dress. It was more comfortable than I thought but people kept stepping on mai dress!rnrn It was fun to be so elegant, but I do not miss the lack of mobility.
