Construction Details:

This costume was started at 1PM the day before the con and finished around 5AM with a 4-hour break in the middle for dinner. Costume was patterned with the help of Artie, who had a pre-existing scratch-pattern that worked well for the school jacket Kamui wears all the time.

The wings were constructed from craft foam and mounted on a wire frame that slid into my bindings.

one fun detail about this costume is the school pin on Kamui's collar; since it's almost always just zigzags in canon, I made it read 'VII' and the kanji for 'heaven'. :V

Personal Thoughts:

sure did bust out this cosplay in about 18 hours.

Wearing this with Artie was a real joy. I've loved Kamui as a character for a very long time, so it was fun to get to dress as him!

Wig Review

It's Karkat's wig repurposed. I literally spent two minutes hairspraying it.
