About this Costume
Construction Details:
UGH. Hardest part of this costume is I cannot for the life of me differentiate between left and right when I'm looking at the pictures. When I was deciding how to make her outfit, which sides overlap, which side doesn't have a sleeve, etc, I did it right but I doubted my judgement, redid it for the other side and realized I was correct the first time and had to fix it yet again. OTL I am retarded and cannot tell left from right whenever I print out the reference photos. T~T

The leaves were time consuming. They are cut from pretty orange organza. The stems are pretty yellow scrapbook papers I cut into that shape and modge podged into the center of the organza leaves. I then proceeded to slowly sew each leaf onto the outfit. The larger leaves also took FOREVER to modge podge the stems onto. @_@

The mini kunais on her hair are made of cardboard and the tassles are embroidery thread I put together.
Personal Thoughts:
She is awesome! I love her! Tsukuyo X Gintoki is my total OTP!!! XD also made the Gintoki costume my husband wears with me! :B Painting the pattern on was a nightmare! But so worth it at the end. ;A;

Grand total for Gintoki is about $35. That includes all fabrics & materials used for every piece of the costume and the boots. He already owned the bokuto and used his own black pants. The wig was free because the seller cancelled and refunded my order but shipped the wig out to me ANYWAYS whatwhyokay?! :xa

Grand total for Tsukuyo is about $55. Again includes all fabrics & materials used for every piece of the costume, her pipe, kunais, and the wig. I already had the boots in my closet. w00t!

Styling Notes
This started off as a random waist long wig I found in the color I needed for $11. I cut it short to the style I needed for Tsukuyo and used the rest of the fibers to create wefts. I took some wefts and sewed them to the front of the wig so I can pull it back into that little hair bump she has. The rest of the wefts I used to make a ponytail thing on the back that she has. Pretty time consuming but so worth it since I only spent $11 for everything. :B
Wig Review
This wig was AWESOME for a random offbrand I bought from someone in China on ebay. I needed something that's her color but super long so I can cut it short and use the rest of the fibers as wefts to create the rest of her look. :3 I loved it.
