Construction Details:

I knew I wasn't going to be able a fabric with a print that resembled her grayer dresses from Season 3 (nor did I want to attempt to paint them), so settled for a jacquard that was kinda in-between two dresses. The violet is a linen look. The clasps are false, made of a split ring and then wing charms I painted to match. The real fasteners are giant snaps underneath. The underskirt was based off of a petticoat patten, and I combined that pattern with modified jacket pattern to make the overdress. French seams and blind hems. The gold binding trim is bias tape I made from the wrong side of a golden silk that Ko got from her aunt. The scarf is made from the same linen look as the underskirt. The necklace is a bird charm on a cord.

Styling Notes

Jazqui helped me pick out the wig color. I cut off a foot or so of hair. This wig isn't really made to be center parted, so I criss-crossed the front a bit to hide the netting. I gave it a bit of wave by heating the fibers with a curling iron on medium, and then making a variety of pin curls while it cooled. I gathered and twisted hair from the sides and put some of the cut hair over the ponytail holder.
