Construction Details:

The dress was made from a pattern for an elven-looking costume. I chose it because it had princess seams. The sleeves are from a separate pattern and modified to fit with the dress pattern. The fabric is crepe-back satin with scalloped lace. I drafted a pattern for the collar and added it to the dress. The dress is also fully lined. The crescent moon is heat-n-bonded to the dress and the pearl trim was hand beaded around it. The corset follows a pattern directly and is made of dull satin and reinforced with interfacing and plastic boning. The holes for the ribbon were made using a buttonhole stitch and grommets.
The boot covers were one big experiment to see if I could make covers that laced up with shoelaces. It took a couple of tries but it worked. They are made with vinyl upholstery fabric and red lace and slip over my red pumps with the help of some elastic.
The crown is galvanized wire held together with jeweler's wire and E-6000. All of the jewels and pearls are attached the same way. There are combs on each end so that it can fit onto my wig.
