Construction Details:

Everything was hand drafted with my own patterns, the only thing that wasn't were the pants which were based off a pair of harem pants I got from family in India. The hat is made from plumes hand sewn with extra feathers and sewn onto the hat, which was constructed from thick interfacing. The yellow emblem of the hat was hand sewn on.
The undershirt has darts, elastic to keep the sleeves puffy, and a hook and eye closure in the back to get in and out of easily.
The cape was tea dyed using a black earl grey tea that steeped the jacket in for two hours with lots of hot water. After drying, bias tape was added on through the french bias binding method, which is really nice and I can't wait to use it again!
The actual part of the top you see had regularly sewn on bias because I was in a hurry, and the yellow petals are stiffened with interfacing to help weigh it down. You can't really see in any of the shots, but little military style buttons were added for aesthetic appeal.
The obi was a simple cut and sew with two piece of fabric, and the ties were made from red trim and tassels which were glued on.
Gloves have satin stitching on them, and pants have an adjustable waistband.
Man I really wish I remembered half of this stuff in judging, but oh well~ This was a really heavy intensive costume, but I'm really happy with how it turned out with only really doing it in a week.

Personal Thoughts:

Tsubaki is the greatest BlazBlue princess, and the fact that she loves Jin and has boners for Hakumen confirms that we are basically the same person. I can't play her for shit, but that's what happens when you main a robot samurai that goes around stomping on people faces all day.
