About this Costume
Construction Details:
The black vest and skirt are made of a black denim; that way I could achieve the tight, but stiff look i was going for!! The vest is actually more like a shirt-- It doesn't open in the front at all...!

The Blouse is made of a thick...blouse material..?? I'm not quite sure what the name of it was! The cuffs have thin interfacing in them and the Princess Poof is simply a /ton/ of gathering...! The bow is made of the same material!

Her gloves are made from a wet-stretch material. They unfortunately were maybe a bit too tight and the coating over the gloves ended up shedding over a lot of my costume. The second day I wore her, I simply wore my leather gloves.

The shoes were purchased at Goodwill (the best find ever, if you ask me) and the brand is ironically named "mia"!!
I made her earrings with whatever blue teardrop-shaped beads I could find! I made four pairs.... I only have one earring left ):

All the diamonds and broach were hand-casted by me! The vest diamonds are velcro, so they can be removed when I'm trying to take the outfit off. The "cufflinks" are krazy glued in place (and they've done a fantastic job of not moving!!!)

I purchased the whip on ebay-- it is genuine leather and very fun to play with!!

A little TMI: the vest is so tight that I actually have to wear 4 bras to make my chest look like normal. It was extremely painful-- I absolutely do not suggest it!
Personal Thoughts:
I've always liked Franziska! This year I decided I was finally going to go for it and cosplay the character I've never felt confident enough to be.
I don't regret that decision. The people I met at Katsucon were so enthusiastic and I had such a blast! There really are some /super/ die-hard ace attorney fans that remember games from 2002 (or 2006, if we're talking US releases)-- That aren't me...!

All this being said; I'm actually terrified of whips... I still had to get one for her, though! I ended up learning how to crack it and aiming and all that neat stuff on my own. They're still scary, but I will say they're really a lot of fun!
