Construction Details:

The sweater is made from sweatshirt fleece and cotton twill for the sailor collar. I drafted the pattern for it myself and used instructions online to make the collar. I decided to put interfacing in the collar so it would hold it's shape better and used bias tape to add the red on it.

The skirt I'm not very proud of at the moment and will be doing a order from Spoonflower soon and remaking it so I can get the proper plaid. I attempted hand painting the plaid on with Jaquard fabric paint and my lines came out very messy because of bleeding. The skirt wasn't hard at all besides that problem and me accidentally making it a bit short. It is made out of the same material I made my collar out of.

Bag is made out of duck canvas and is lined. The cross was painted on the front with fabric paint.

Sock from sock dreams, shoes from goodwill which I stripped and redyed, and the wig is from Arda wigs which I cut and styled myself

Personal Thoughts:

After a long conversation in an ice cream shop with a friend, I decided to give cosplaying from FLCL another go. When I was younger, I really liked Haruko. But as an adult I feel like I kind of connect to Mamimi's problems a little more and I find her more interesting as a character.
