Construction Details:

the black clothes are made of matte black stretch vinyl, i based the patterns off of body suit patterns. i need to figure out a way to make the points stay down, probably will install snaps for next time. the silver socks are made of silver metallic spandex. most of the armor is made of craft foam and worbla. my boyfriend (and the undine in the pics) made all the armor pieces. the shoulder paldrons are made of plastic. we made a vacuform machine at home to heat form large pieces of plastic. i don't even know what went into making the swords but they were super heavy and my arm was sore and shaking after just a couple hours of carrying them around. my bf was following about the same process as volpin props when he made the swords with help from my dad. i painted all the armor pieces by hand. i'd like to go back at some point and repaint some of the pieces, i'm not too happy with the shading and gradation on a few of them.

Personal Thoughts:

been wanting to do claymore 5ever. i love the anime and i love the manga even more. i'm pretty happy with how these costumes turned out but there are a few things i'd like to fix up before i wear it again. this is the garage kit design http://www.e2046.com/product/9235. the design isn't from the manga or anime.
