Construction Details:

everything is made by me except the hat which i bought and altered. i don’t really want to explain the construction process for the dress because it basically involved combining and altering a bunch of patterns and i doubt anyone else will cosplay this design anyway. in short, i had a dress pattern and a skirt pattern and i combined/altered them.

the dress is made of a really nice heavy dark grey satin on top and one of those spacey fabrics on the bottom?? it’s just a fancy fabric with sparkles attached, they’re in every joann’s. the jacket thing and the sleeve puffs were made out of black velvet. the jacket collar is this really beautiful venetian lace that cost like $20 a yard haha thank god for coupons. lots of various other trims/laces were used. i don’t have a good photo of the back but the huge bows were made of a striped fabric i found at m&l fabrics.

Personal Thoughts:

i don’t want to speak about this cosplay it was just

getting into this required a LOT of safety pins. i’m not totally happy with how it turned out because it’s not really what i envisioned, nor is it completely accurate to the artwork, but i’m actually kind of proud of this— it was a lot of work and very time-consuming, and it was probably above my skill level at the time, but it turned out fairly well.
