Construction Details:

It's really easy construction too me a day or two because i was sewing other things. His pants was fun. My sister had to help pin me down to get it to mes with my waist and such ahahaha. The wig was the most difficult. I had problems with it and had some assistance. Other than that this costume itself was wonderful and decently put together, albeit could be better. I remade this for the group at Anime Expo.

Personal Thoughts:

This was one of the few costumes that got me to cosplay more often, not gonna lie. He was one of my favourite characters from the series and I also have a hobby as an RPer and I RP'd his character. A lot of people associated me with him when they met me or knew me. One of my really old friends from middle school always said I should cosplay him, and it's ironic because here I am cosplaying Hiei.

I never thought that I would actually crossplay for my first few cosplays. I mean, I thought about it before but it's never actually been done until now. There are things about this costume that I am completely satisfied with and my Yusuke did a great job doing the dragon on my arm, but they were things that bothered me about the costume like the make up and wig. I wanted the wig to spike more to be honest.

Though, overall I'm very attached to his character and I do see a lot of me in him and it's great that I could portray someone like Hiei. He's a strong willed and string heart person. He secretly loathes his past and tries to keep his sister at bay. He's a highly well developed character through and through. I loved how he grew and became a three dimensional character of his home. I adore him and I would never retire this costume.

I am also obviously a huge Yu Yu Hakusho Fan haha.

I looked too feminine in this so hopefully with better make up skills, I'll rewear this with some more flare to it!
