Construction Details:

the shirt and pants are just some knit fabrics that have a nice sheen to them, it’s just a t-shirt pattern and pants with an elastic waistband. the boots were bought. the hood was made out of cotton by yoomster.

the wings were made with that one well-known god tier wing tutorial, but i've lost the link... i actually made these twice because the first pair wasn’t accurate in shape or size. in short, i took wire and made the shape of the wings, got some organza, and whipstitched by hand around the wing frame, then cut the edges off as close to the stitching as possible. this method is time consuming because of the amount of hand sewing, but the pair shown here was the third pair of god tier wings i made, so i got pretty good at this method and just marathoned star trek while hand sewing. the designs are just glitter. the wings attach via velcro and a harness under the shirt, but i’d usually safety pin them to my shirt at the shoulders for extra stability.

Personal Thoughts:

aah scourge sisters are so important and although terezi's probably my all time favorite homestuck character, vriska is so complex and interesting! this was actually the first thing i sewed waaay back when i wore it to AX 2012, although the pictures here are from ALA 2013 when i remade parts of it. i've since sold it because i didn't want it to just sit around and gather dust, but this was a costume i really loved.
