About this Costume

Didn't realize until I was done with this costume just how many little details it had! I re made my bodice and shirt this year for my snow shoot. The bodice is made out of velvet and hand embroidered. The shirt underneath is just cotton with some machine embroidery, and the mittens are made from blizzard fleece that I water proofed. The giant cloak is made out of flannel and all the trim is either top stitched or glued down. The details in the semi circles were just painted on. For the skirt I used peach skin because I really liked the way it looked in the light and draped, even though wool would be a more accurate fabric choice. The skirt "embroidery" is actually just puff paint. After spending a lot of hours just on the bodice embroidery I decided to use paint for the skirt because it would be much faster, and for something that's never seen up close anyways I figured it was the better option.
If you have any questions about this costume feel free to ask! I'm very proud of my final result, so I'd be more than happy to help anyone else out. - Personal Thoughts:
- I was excited about Frozen since the day they first announced that they were making it. I followed all of the updates for about a year and as soon as I saw Anna's design I knew I wanted to cosplay her! I absolutely adored the movie, I just wish it could have been longer! I definitely plan on making more of her outfits and maybe even some of Elsa's! I loved the challenge this costume gave me as far as details go.
