About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Actually, most of the costume was pretty straightforward. The jacket was made using a fairly standard jacket pattern, but just modified for the collar and length.
Initially, I was planning on using an 1800s corset pattern to make the corset... but scheduling got crazy around the holidays, and I ended up just using a store-bought corset, modifying the shape, and adding trim.
The shoes are actually vintage and "period-appropriate." I was kind of pleased I was able to dig them up on eBay, but they were murder to walk around in. - Personal Thoughts:
- This is the first costume I've ever made for someone else (Booker) besides myself, and it was a lot of fun! I really love the game, and I couldn't have been happier wearing the costume! I was able to cosplay with two close friends of mine, too (Lutece twins), which made it all the better.

- Styling Notes
- All I had to do was cut it. I wanted to decrease the volume a little bit, but I didn't have a razor comb handy, so I just tried the best I could by shearing it.
- Wig Review
- Wig styling is hard, you guys. I know people do crazy wizard magic with wigs, but just cutting it on a wig head is pretty hard for me. I cut one side a little too short, but I think I masked it okay. I'm proud of myself.
