I was approached by Tenleid who wanted to do P4 costumes again, this time with Linze Bee as well, and together we decided on this cute and sexy fanart of Yukiko, Chie, and Rise as racequeens!

Let me start off with saying that this was the hardest simple costume ever. Hardest due to the difficulty of the minijacket, and yet the final result was so simple T_T. Making costumes that have simple designs look right and fit well is pretty hard.

For the outfits we girls decided to use metallic spandex, vinyl, and more vinyl. although I think my red tubetop and jacket are more of a vinyl pleather.

Tube top: simple enough, sweetheart neckline with vinyl strips stitch in the ditch sewn to the top and bottom. I sewed it closed and it stretches over my head.

Jacket: the most difficult thing about this costume. I made a muslin pattern for a short shirt, cut long rectangular strips of leftover red vinyl together, and cut out jacket pieces, and patterned big puffy sleeves. I can't begin to say how hard and tedious it was to sew rectangular strips together for the ribbed look. Never again. I almost didn't have enough material for the rest of the costume but I made it work! The jacket is lined on the inside with red cotton, and the sleeve cuffs are made of black metallic spandex. The collar and lapel are made of black pleather, and the yellow bias tape is simple double fold bias tape from Joanns topstitched on. This was such a nightmare to make and took way longer than I wanted to, but in the end it looks good!

Shorts: Luckily I didn't have to make shorts since I had already bought these black metallic spandex shorts from the Fashion District in LA meant for a Mr. Taxi SNSD costume, and I shortened them, added belt loops, and they were done.

Belt: A long piece of red vinyl sewn closed via topstitching with a fake gold belt buckle cut out of gold pleather belting.

Thigh highs: another huge pain. First time making thigh socks and I could have made them tighter :/

Wig: bought a 80cm long black heat resistant straight wig from Ayanamisatoru, one of my favorite wig brands, cut the bangs in, and it barely tangled at all. It's a real dark black, and surprisingly the blunt cut bangs didn't look too bad!

Shoes: Already had the pointy red pumps.

Hairband: Already had the red hairband thanks to my default Yukiko costume.

Styling Notes

Cut the bangs before I got into costume. Glad they look alight!
