Personal Thoughts:

This is the Third Exorcist Arc Uniform (manga vols 19-22)... It was awesome to wear but the first time we wore it to Anime Expo many people who only know the anime (not the manga) had never seen this uniform before.

We chose to make it from poplin, as opposed to the various types of vinyl and coated canvas from which I've seen other Exorcist uniforms made. It was pretty easy to work with but if I use it again, I'll make sure to surge more and avoid fraying!

I bought a wig but then converted it to a hair weave so I could securely attach it to my natural hair. That supports the weight of his ponytail all day so I don't have to worry about it as we run around.

It's totally secure BUT that technique makes styling Kanda's hair an installation process. Plus in this version Allen's arm is exposed, so that also takes a long time for makeup, scar and Innocence application.

This looks simple but we can't change into or out of this quickly-- cosplaying D. Gray-man is a full day commitment! Aaaand we'll likely only do it for summer conventions :)
