Construction Details:

The waistcoat was a pattern I'd drawn myself based on an existing waistcoat I owned and altered. The waistcoat itself didn't take long to make, and I had sewn it alongside my boyfriend's Western Harada.

Chizuru's kodachi was a bit of a pain, but easy once the pieces came together. I took a plastic ninja sword I had ordered online and sanded down the sheath to create a wood texture and painted glossy black. I popped the original pommel off the hilt and began constructing a new one using paper clay (what I had on me at the time) and carved a hole into the hilt to fit the cord and tassel. The new pommel, once dried, was sanded and I attached a sakura detail I had cut out myself to add a bit of uniqueness. The metal shape thing on the sheath was patterned based on my references and created with craft foam. The sheath detail, pommel, and guard were painted a shiny antique-looking gold and then weathered once everything was attached to the kodachi. I also relpaced the original wraps on the hilt with the proper color. Fun times researching all the things and overall a fun prop to construct!

Painting the sakura on the lapels was a pain in the butt, and the ones you see pictured are version 2. There shall be a ver. 3~ ^^

Personal Thoughts:

One of my favorite costumes to date~ I'm in love with this series and plan to make even more costumes from this game franchise~ ^^

Wig Review

th wig itself is really nice, and it has tiny little combs on both ends of the wig cap underneath to ensure that it stays on your head. At first is feels a it strange, but after a bit it's very comfortable~ ^^
