Construction Details:

Since Rin doesn't appear in the ending, I chose to give a go at my interpretation of what he would wear. This costume is incredibly simple. It was really just getting all the fabrics and pieces then sewing. ((edit: I am now aware that there was an official version released in June 2014. I will probably tweak a few things to match the official version since mine is similar.

The hat was purchase on ebay, I believe it is a popular kpop thing...

I made a shark teeth necklace with mother of pearl beads as way to incorporate the water.

The shirt was a blank base that I purchased. The logo was designed by BonBonBunny, and after getting permission to do so, I vectored, edited and printed the design.

The jacket was drafted and sewn by me. It was made of wool and has shark patterned lining on the inside. I added top-stitching on the seams and a few appliques and pins to match the other Iwatobi designs. The Chenille "R" was purchased and sewn on.

The pants purchased last minute and shoes were purchased on ebay and altered to match the color scheme.

In the end, the costume isn't at "flashy" as the others, but I love the little shark-ie things I added to it! I loved being able to design his costume based on his personality.

Personal Thoughts:

Breaking the pattern of cosplaying the main character or the happy-go-lucky or the blonde! I am honestly not sure how I ended up with Rin. I believe it was fated having cosplayed another Rin character, but also due to being one letter off from my name. Rin=Ran
