Construction Details:

Tiara is from Catzia's. I had one before from when i bought a costume for Mars 3 years ago but I lost it.
Choker I made out of black cotton with interfacing, closes with sewn-on velcro. Really shiny gem circle thing sewn on with fishing wire.
Earrings are clip ons (my ears have never been pierced nor do i care to have them pierced) with red sparkle craft foam.
Sailor collar I used the same pattern I made for my Ryuko cosplay. Cotton.
Leotard is one piece, made out of white spandex. It's like a swimsuit, I'm going to sew the other pieces on in the right spots.
Bows are cotton with medium interfacing. I patterned using Sparkle Pipsi's bow tutorial.
Bow gem is a Swarovski 50mm 2028 unfoiled gem that I painted the back of.
Gloves I made out of the same spandex as the leotard. Cotton rectangles that I sewed channels into and filled with polyfill are the elbow parts.
Shoes are pleasers that I cut and glued vinyl trim onto
The Staff is made out of mostly wood, but the top heart shaped parts are model magic. Painted with acrylics.
Skirt is made out of cotton. I was having a hard time deciding how to pleat the skirt, I wanted it to look accurate but also practical at the same time. I ended up going with similar measurements Glay used for her and QD's fukus, theirs always stuck out in my mind.

Personal Thoughts:

Wanted to cosplay a sailor scout before I even knew cosplaying was a thing. Sailor Moon was a huge deal for me as a child, I used to watch it every day after school along with DBZ. Mars was the one I always liked the best, and I remember when they introduced Neptune and Uranus, I was so excited. I used to make my mom rent the VHS that had the series ending over and over again from Blockbuster, until she just finally bought it from the store. I had the SM R, S, and Super S movies on VHS as well, and I used to watch S and Super S pretty much weekly for like 2 years because they had the Outer Scouts in them. I'm cosplaying Pluto because I always thought she was the "coolest" along with Uranus, but I feel like I can pull off Pluto better.
