Construction Details:

When we started this costume, we decided we wanted to take it to the next level and really bring the costumes to life. As a group, we chose richer, textured fabrics to bring the characters into the real world.

I used suede, silk, brocade, and eyelet lace to construct the costume. In addition, there is lace applique along the skirt and red embroidery along the back in the shape of a cross, which has significance for the character.

Personal Thoughts:

Madoka is possibly my favorite anime, and I couldn't wait to bring one of the amazing characters to life.
