About this Costume
- Construction Details:
-
Everything made myself! Fabric is metallic 4-way stretch spandex. The main outfit was constructed using a bikini I took apart to use as a pattern. The rest (neck, arm pieces, and boots) I patterned out myself from scratch! The points in the arm pieces and boots are craft foam. Boots are two separate pieces with elastic in the top to hold them up. Base shoes are ballet flats. This was my first time casting resin! I used 6 molds in the various shapes/sizes with easycast and red resin dye. They are attached to the costume via e6000. The star bolts are and led submersible light attached to layers of tulle via elastic. The Mehron body paint I applied myself. Sealed with hairspray. This costume was really difficult for me and my sewing machine hated the material and thread. I had to sew everything no less than 3 times. Pretty proud of how it turned out~ The wig has been updated with the red to orange gradient as of June 2014! I used an acrylic ink and alcohol mixture.
- Personal Thoughts:
- I am really happy with how this turned out! Hardest thing I've had to make so far! Proud to say I'm the first to cosplay this version~ Looking forward to getting the Kotobukiya figure!
