Construction Details:

I bought a Champ Sprite off of eBay and then taped him off and dyed his fur a deep navy/dark blue using fabric dyes and spray paint. I then painted his arms and legs using spray paint as well and painted the black ribbing on his arms and legs and dots on his sneakers. Then I repainted his face to be more turquoise with spray paint, and hand-painted the details back on after he dried (eyes, nose, mouth, and blushing cheeks). The final step was to cut his star antennae into moons and I hand-sticthed them to finish them off. A little brushing of his fur and Nite Sprite was born!

Belt is made of an elastic band, and star pouch is cut and sewn from yellow felt.

Personal Thoughts:

When the rest of my Rainbow Brite group bought their sprites to go along with their characters, I wanted to buy Nite Sprite for Moonglow, however he was never made the same size as the others, so I resorted to making him myself!

Plus, I love stuffed animals, so any excuse to make one is the best!
