I think just about everything on this costume was made twice, there was a lot of experimenting involved.
I used a Kwiksew pattern for the jacket with some minor alteration to the collar/lapels/length. The patches were purchased from Serephita and the buttons were picked up at Joann.
The belts are about 1.5 yards worth of fuzzy-backed pleather with a 1" wide layer of duck cloth in the center to help give it some stability and depth. The harness is 3 separate pieces: 2 leg sections and an upper-body portion, both of which connect to the main belt on the pants. The gray pieces are craft foam with a layer of gray vinyl over top and the black leg pieces are poster board with a layer of thin plastic over top (think the weight of a spiral notebook cover). The boots were purchased from GoJane.com and altered. The shirt is a heavy linen with a brown cording. The wig is a men's style from Amphigory and the cloak was made by Sumikins as a gift!! Overall, I really didn't enjoy making this costume but it was SO MUCH FUN to wear that it was all worth it! YOU CAN'T WIN IF YOU DON'T FIGHT. - Personal Thoughts:
- I have an unhealthy obsession with this series.
