Construction Details:

This is a totally historically accurate costume from 1874, using Truly Victorian patterns, everything except the lighting features and the mask on the hat are accurate. I can switch out the stomacher, gloves and detach the mask and add another front section and I will have a historically accurate garment.

All of the seams are french seamed, and the entire thing is made from silk taffeta.

Personal Thoughts:

This was my first real cosplay experience! I have made costumes for parties and such, but never worn one to a con before. It was so much fun! I'm hooked now!
