Construction Details:

The corset, tailcoat, and boots are bought; the leggings are a thick stretch fabric with tiny Lurex pinstripes to which I sewed a small tubular crinoline channel to hold the EL wire. (Which was supposed to glow yellow and not teal...I'm going to buy new wire eventually.) The hip pieces are made of craft foam with LEDs stuck into it; there are pockets sewn into the leggings to hold the battery packs for the LED strands as well as the EL wire. There are orangey-gold fiber optic extensions in the wig, but they aren't showing up too well in photos, unfortunately.

And yes, that's a winged POTaTOS brooch.

She's definitely not done yet, but I'm sort of viewing this costume as a permanent work in progress, haha.
