Construction Details:

A friend bought the fabric and I can't tell what it is but it's lovely and a bit stretchy but still easy to work with.

The dress was made from scratch with a seam in the middle where I attached the pleated skirt, but you can't tell with the belt over it. It's tight enough that it doesn't slide off too much even without straps. I think I'd still add invisible straps next time I wear it so I can avoid future... accidents. Oops. The sleeves are just a very long band of ruffles so I can still open my arms.

The gold parts are a mix of leather, foam, modelling paste and fabric with wire inside.

The shoes are a pair of loafers I bought and painted, and switched the laces for beige suede straps. The gold part is completely separate but usually goes over it if I'm not sitting or kneeling.

I got the book from my grandma because it was Exactly the right size and not too heavy. The cover is mostly foam and looks really messy from up close. It doesn't actually close.
