Construction Details!
After watching the movie I decided I wanted something to stand me out from the other Merida cosplayers, so I decided that I would make my costume historically accurate. After a bunch of research (found on my website OhMyCosplay.com) I was ready to begin.

First I made my pattern. A Simple princess seam dress, however I added Gores to the skirt to make it more full.

Then I made the underdress which is made of 100% Linen. After some fitting I made the over dress which is made of 100% wool. Since I already had a pattern this was pretty easy.

The wig is 2 ebay wigs hacked together at the back! (:

Next I will be making her cape, bow and arrow and more. (:

Personal Thoughts:

Before I even watched Brave I knew I wanted to cosplay Merida. A fiery Red head with freckles? What isn't there to love?
