Construction Details:

All the pink fabric used for this is dyed, since I couldn't find the correct shade. The entire costume was made mostly by eye; I didn't use a pattern (admittedly for lack of knowledge). It was made using quilting fabric almost entirely. The boots are from the store Bodyline. The ears were also remade when I wore this costume a second time at NYCC. In total, I'd say I spent around two weeks total working on this costume, though that was between work and schoolwork.

Personal Thoughts:

When I first saw Sylveon, I loved it! A cute, pink pokemon with bows and ribbons? Yes please! The aesthetic reminds me a lot of magical girls, so I decided to use that as inspiration while designing this costume. Specifically, I was inspired by Cure Melody and Amulet Heart, though the costume is still mostly original. Sylveon continues to be my favourite Pokemon and I plan on doing a few more variations in the future (dragon slayer, "pink lady" for a 50's themed group, and shiny are the ones I have planned)

Wig Review

It was a little thin around the bangs which sometimes led to the wig cap being visible, and was a little too small for my head.
