About this Costume
Construction Details:
The pattern was a Butterick pattern, the number was: Butterick RETRO Ballgown 4918. I used both white and blue bridal satin. The bodice originally called for the white material that you see to be gathered, but I could not get the folds the way I wanted, so ruching was used instead. It took a few weeks to make and a lot of trial and error. It was also my first time using a slippery fabric. The white cupcake overlay was originally going to be sewn into the bodice. However, I used elastic instead because I wanted to later use the dress for a dance (outside of cosplay).
Personal Thoughts:
This by far has been the hardest cosplay I have made!
It was made with a blue bridal satin. It's been the first costume I have felt extremely beautiful and happy to be in despite the largeness of the costume.

Wig was extremely thick and full. It tangles so be careful, but overall the quality was excellent!
